FRANCISCA ORTIZ Obituary
Ms. Ortiz died after a long battle with dementia. Ms. Ortiz was born in 1940 in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico to parents, Jose Felix and Juana. She was the second born of four sisters. Ms. Ortiz immigrated to Brooklyn, NY when she was eighteen years old. She was looking for a new life with her two young sons. The family holds fond memories of her great cooking and knitted blankets they would receive. They share her strong faith in God. Ms. Ortiz was a woman of service and would help her church, friends and family.
Ms. Ortiz is survived by four of her children: Julio, Edwardo, Luis and Diane; as well as nineteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren and three sisters. Her sisters are Patricia, Rosa and Carmen Sylvia.
The family requests no flowers, please. You are welcome to plant a tree or flower bush in her memory.
Memorial Service will be at 9AM. Prayer Service will be at 10AM. - Saturday, July 17th, 2021
