With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Catherine Shearin of Brooklyn, NY. Catherine passed away on Friday April 5th, 2024 at the age of 86 years old. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Catherine McGinley; her siblings, Timothy, Charles, John, Edward, Philomena and Winnie; her son-in-law, Charles Clark; and her loving husband, Dennis Shearin. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louie Velazquez, at the age of 75. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at Coney Island hospital on May 12, 2023. Louie was born on August 3, 1948 in Puerto Rico. His parents Pedro and Rosa Velazquez moved the family to Brooklyn New York when he was a young child. Louie lived in the Gowanus projects area of Brooklyn. In his spare time he enjoyed jogging and playing sports in the Red Hook...
